About
RU Scheduling puts three things students usually juggle across separate Rutgers sites in one place: a course schedule planner, a degree requirements check, and the list of courses you have taken. It is an independent student project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Rutgers University.
What it does
- Planner. Pick courses from the term’s Schedule of Classes, narrow the sections you would take, and let the builder lay out every conflict-free schedule, ranked by your preferences (compact days, no Friday classes, late starts, in-person sections). Save the ones you like, compare them, export them to your calendar, share them by link, and open them in WebReg to register.
- Degree Navigator. Declare your school curriculum, majors and minors, and see each program’s requirements audited against your course list. In the planner, course rows show which open requirements they still count toward.
- My Course List. Import the unofficial transcript PDF from the student portal (read in your browser, never uploaded) or add courses one at a time. The audits and the prerequisite checks run off this list.
Where the data comes from
- Course offerings, sections, meeting times, instructors and open/closed status come from Rutgers’ public Schedule of Classes feed and are refreshed daily. Open/closed status can change by the minute; the planner’s “Refresh status” asks the live feed.
- Program requirements come from the pages Degree Navigator publishes for each program, captured once and modelled as rules. Degree Navigator keeps several catalog versions per program; this site holds the one that was selected when the pages were captured, so the official audit can differ.
- Nothing here reads or writes anything in WebReg, Degree Navigator or the Course Schedule Planner on your behalf.
